When Trung Le Nguyen wanted to come out as gay to his parents, he realized that he didn't have the words to do so. That's because the Vietnamese language, like many Asian languages, does not have ample LGBTQ+ terminology that is both accurate and affirming. Learn about the efforts of Asians and Asian Americans to develop LGBTQ+ terminology that allows individuals to communicate their identities in ways that are authentic to their cultures and communities.
