Young people at risk
The Trevor Project's 2024 U.S. National Survey on the Mental Health of LGBTQ+ Young People presents the harsh reality of a disproportionately high risk for suicide among LGBTQ+ young people, which has been directly linked to anti-LGBTQ+ victimization, discrimination and harassment.
These are challenging times for LGBTQ+ people, including youth, but the survey also points to steps we can all take to provide support and acceptance, including learning about LGBTQ+ topics and issues and creating safe and affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ young people.
